Terms & Conditions

Effective October 17, 2026

1. Who we are and your agreement

engagED is provided by Engaged Education LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These terms govern your use of our AI-assisted lesson planning service. By accessing or continuing to use engagED, you agree to these terms and contract with Engaged Education LLC for access to the service. Paddle acts as the reseller for paid orders, as described below.

You must be of legal age to enter into this agreement. If you use the service for a school or another organization, you confirm that you have authority to act on its behalf. Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. The service and credits

engagED helps teachers and homeschool educators create lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom resources with Ed, our AI co-teacher. We grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your educational work, subject to these terms.

New sign-ups receive 10 free credits. Generating materials for a lesson uses 1 credit, covering that lesson's materials. Paid packs contain 5 credits for US$4.99, 12 credits for US$9.99, or 30 credits for US$19.99. Single-credit purchases and monthly subscriptions are not currently offered. Applicable taxes and the final total are shown at checkout.

3. Payments and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Credit packs are one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions. See our Refund Policy for the 30-day refund period and how to request a refund. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use engagED to:

  • Break the law, commit fraud, send spam, or infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Create illegal content, abusive or hateful content, exploitative content, deceptive deepfakes, malware, or content that endangers others.
  • Interfere with security or operation, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, introduce malicious code, scrape the service without authorization, bypass limits, or jailbreak safety protections.
  • Resell access to the service, reverse engineer its software except where law permits, or impersonate another person.

Do not submit identifiable student records or other sensitive personal information. Use anonymized class-level context and only connect course resources you are authorized to share.

5. AI outputs and educator responsibility

AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable for a particular class. Review all lesson plans, quizzes, answer keys, maps, images, and other materials before using or distributing them. You are responsible for your prompts, how you use outputs, checking accuracy and age appropriateness, and ensuring you have the rights to all submitted content.

Outputs are not regulated professional advice and must not be relied on for medical, legal, financial, or similar decisions without appropriate qualified oversight. We do not guarantee educational outcomes or that AI outputs are original or free of third-party rights.

6. Intellectual property and content

Engaged Education LLC retains ownership of engagED's software, documentation, branding, and other service intellectual property. You retain rights you already hold in your inputs. You give us permission to host, process, and transmit those inputs to our service providers solely as needed to provide and secure the service.

As between you and us, you may use, adapt, print, and share generated teaching materials for your educational work, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. We do not claim ownership of your inputs or any rights you may have in generated outputs. AI-generated outputs may not qualify for copyright protection and may resemble other outputs.

Rights holders can report infringement or request a takedown at engagededucationsupport@gmail.com, identifying the work, the disputed content, and their contact details. We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts for serious or repeated infringement or other policy violations.

7. Availability, suspension, and termination

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change or be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or serious or repeated policy violations. Contact support if you believe access was suspended in error. You can stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through support; data handling is described in our Privacy Notice.

8. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will revise the effective date. We will notify account holders of material changes through the service or email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, subject to any notice or consent required by law.

For questions about the service or these terms, contact Engaged Education LLC at engagededucationsupport@gmail.com.
